PLC Sydney proudly hosted our annual Unified Multi Sports Day, a vibrant celebration of inclusion, teamwork and the joy of sport.
Students with and without disability from PLC Sydney and invited schools came together to take part in a dynamic range of sporting activities and skill-building sessions. The day featured modified versions of European Handball, Football, AFL and Cricket, ensuring every student could join in, learn new skills and have fun, regardless of ability.

Students played in mixed-gender and mixed-ability groups with Year 9 PASS students, rotating through each activity and supporting one another as they built confidence, teamwork and communication skills.

âThe unified approach is about more than just playing sportâit's about growing together, learning from one another, and building genuine friendships,â said Kim Schaefer (PLC Sydney Unified Sports Program Coordinator).

The energy on the field was infectious, with laughter echoing across the grounds and smiles on every face. Following the success of last year's Unified Football Mini Games Day, this expanded event continued to highlight the power of inclusive sport to break down barriers and bring people together.
A heartfelt thank you to our transition teachers, sports staff, student leaders and guest schools for helping to make the day such a success. We look forward to continuing to grow our Unified Sports Program in 2025 and beyond.
